Class Description:

This class offers a blend of learning from the inside using different approaches like tuning into our own bodies, drawing and tracing.  Learning from the outside we will examine pictures and slides with descriptions of the anatomy and physiology. These slides will also be provided as PDFs.

We will learn:

●     How to trace the different pathways of communication in the central nervous system

●     How to connect with the cranial ventricles and track their flow

●     About the function of the glia as an integral part of the human nervous system

●     To feel the different meninges in the cranium and the spine, different pulls in them and how they relate to the body as a whole

●     To feel the different cranial bones from the inside, their mobility or lack of it

●     To identify and find the different glands located in the cranium in relationship to the bones

●     To feel the relationship between the cranium and the pelvis

●     About different structures in the spine like: Cauda Equina, Filum Terminal and Conus Medullaris, Central Canal and how they affect the cranium and the central nervous system

Class Details:

●     This class meets once a month for 6 months. It is a combination of self-study and interactive, in person class time on zoom.

●     Each participant will receive the recording of each class in the series 4 weeks prior to the in person class date. The self study component of the course will be to watch the recording, review the material, and email the instructor with any questions before the live class.

●     During the live class time, there will be opportunities to review the material, answer questions, and guide the group through internal exploration of the anatomy and self-care exercises that are included in the recording and handout.

●     Only participants who attend the live zoom class will receive a recording of that class in addition to the pre-recorded class material.

The in person, live class dates are Wednesdays from 12 - 3pm Eastern time. There will be a 15 minute break about half way through each class. No practice partner is needed.
