Practitioner Training Programs in Ortho-Bionomy®

The Society of Ortho-Bionomy International® (SOBI) oversees the training programs for Ortho-Bionomy® Practitioners in the United States.  These programs are designed to teach students the principles and philosophy of Ortho-Bionomy and the evolving concept that is Ortho-Bionomy.

Generally, classroom time can be over a 2-6 day period which develop the students’ understanding of the principles, the phases, and their ability to perform the techniques.  In addition to classroom hours, the training program below outlines the specific requirements which includes documented practice hours, sessions received, and sessions for feedback. The fullness of the curriculum aims to create:

  • Practitioners who are healthy, adaptable, and resilient in their own body

  • Skilled practitioners who embody the principles of Ortho-Bionomy

  • Intuitive practitioners who use their skills to craft sessions unique to each individual

  • Compassionate humans who can share valuable resources and skills in health and well being

Our students range from college professors to college students, from parents looking for tools to support the health of their family, to massage therapists looking for a more sustainable bodywork option.  We have seen people of all types studying with us and they all do have one thing in common--curiosity to encourage and strengthen the body's inherent wisdom to move towards health and wholeness.

Practitioner Program

Unlike most massage therapy programs, Ortho-Bionomy is a decentralized program people complete at their own pace and speed, ingesting a weekend or week-long workshop as often as you like.  This setup allows the student to integrate the materials and techniques into their work and lives for a better understanding and assimilation of the work.

Advanced Practitioner Program

The Advanced Practitioner Program allows for Practitioners to continue in their learning and professional development. The focus in this program is to expand the Practitioner’s understanding and application of the more advanced work of Ortho-Bionomy.

More detailed information about the training programs can be found on the Ortho-Bionomy.org website as well as finding the application for becoming a member of the SOBI.
