Jessica has been involved in the movement, fitness, and wellness field for over 30 years. She is an Advanced Practitioner and Advanced Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy®, an osteopathically based bodywork therapy that supports the body’s innate, self-corrective capacity to heal. After graduating from the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in 2006, Jessica continued to complement her practice of Ortho-Bionomy with studies in Polarity Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, infant movement and development, Gyrokinesis®, and Body-Mind Centering®. She is also a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist™, retired Pilates and Ballet Instructor, and former professional modern dancer.
Based in Asheville, NC, Jessica operates a private practice seeing clients of all ages, including infants and children. She also works with babies and children at Asheville Pediatric Dentistry in collaboration with Dr. Jenny Jackson, Through the Ortho-Bionomy in Asheville program, she mentors and trains students in an embodied and holistic approach both in person and online.
One of her deep passions is working with babies and children to help open up new pathways for their growing bodies to experience greater ease and connection. Jessica has owned, managed, and operated successful fitness and wellness businesses since 2002, and is now excited to be managing just herself and creating more time for teaching.
Jessica is married, has two fabulous kids, and a part time dog. In her downtime, you’ll find her combing through cooking magazines in search of the best biscuit recipe.

KarenElisa has been studying and practicing Ortho-Bionomy®️ since 1994. She is a Registered Associate Instructor and Advanced Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy®️. She is the President of the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia®️ and has been a practitioner of Integrative Eclectic Shiatsu for over 30 years. She is a past Editor of the SOBI Newsletter and has had articles published in Massage Magazine and AOBTAPulse. She was interviewed on the Qiological podcast about her integration of Ortho-Bionomy®️ principles into her Shiatsu practice. She lives in Saint Louis, Missouri and practices at Acupuncture Saint Louis. She also teaches Qigong and T'ai Chi for the Gateway Region (Greater Saint Louis) YMCA.

Ursula Hofer, Registered Advanced Instructor has taught Ortho-Bionomy for over 35 years and approaches each class she teaches as a unique and special experience. Her studies with Arthur Lincoln Pauls helped her create a strong foundation for this practice. Working with the physiology of trauma has added depth and effectiveness to her work and teaching. She sees this time of the pandemic as an opportunity to strengthen and practice Phase 7, which is an incredible integration of the physical with the universal.
