ONLINE: The Physical and Energetic Anatomy of a Concussion: The Resilience of our Fluid Systems

  • ONLINE United States (map)

New research shows that a single mild head injury can result in a disruption in meningeal lymphatic function.

This class offers a blend of learning from the inside using different approaches like tuning into our own bodies, drawing and tracing.  Learning from the outside we will examine pictures and slides with descriptions of the anatomy and physiology. These slides will also be provided as PDFs.

Tracking our own experience when looking at pictures or going inside to connect with different structures will give us information about how to work with people after a concussion that could have happened many years ago or recently.

We will study and experience the fluid systems of the whole body: the lymphatic system including brain and spinal cord, glymph, venous (including the portal), arterial systems, cerebrospinal fluid, meninges, ventricles and central canal. We will introduce the thalamus and its role as a sensory and motor relay station, connecting the homunculus map to the different areas of the body. Correlations will be made to the Chapman’s Reflexes.

Self-care exercises will be included. No partner required.
