We invite you to explore a deeper understanding of the pelvis, beyond the classic Phase 4 release techniques. Orienting from our clear container of structure, we will study the pelvic bowl as a whole, experience its spaces and connections, and consider its many relationships. Some of those relationships include the structure of the living pelvis and its connection to the pelvic diaphragm, pubic symphysis, gemelli, obturators, and more.
Through self-exploration exercises we will bring awareness to the relationship between the thoracic and pelvic diaphragms. We will also learn about specific joints such as the lumbosacral, sacroiliac, sacrococcygeal, and acetabulum/femoral head and their influence on alignment and skeletal integrity. We will incorporate lots of tools in our learning together such as exploration of movement, self care attention, movement and breath exercises, and other sensory motor relationships.
