Supporting the body to respond in direct relationship through its organs has a profound effect on their function and vitality. In this study group we will explore the qualities of the heart, lungs, and kidneys and how to come into relationship with each of them individually to remind the body of their place in the whole. Some of the exploration and techniques will include the following:
Recognizing energetic and physical qualities of Phase 4, 5, and/or 6 of meeting an organ to facilitate self-correction
Using palpation skills to explore the movement of organs in three dimensions
Practice Ortho-Bionomy® techniques to stimulate self-correction of the pleura of the lungs
Understand the relationship between the heart and lungs and the importance of movement and glide with each other
Explore breath and movement patterns sensing from the lobes of the lungs
Learn the physiology and anatomy of the respiratory system through visuals and exploring from a felt sense internally
Practice self-care movement and awareness to enhance an embodied understanding of these structures from within

Please be in communication with your advisor if you are able to receive credit for online study groups. SOBI has policies regarding the number of courses available for credit and they are located on their website (https://www.ortho-bionomy.org).
Out of courtesy to the instructor and other students, please be mindful not to be walking, traveling in a vehicle, in your jujitsu class, or otherwise occupied with other tasks with your camera on. We are happy for you to tune in live during any of those activities, but without your camera or sound on. As a reminder, you cannot receive credit if your camera is off. In general, the best rule is to treat online courses like an in person one.
