Exploration of Movement Patterns with Jessica Mark (Online)

This online class develops the technique of exploring patterns of movement passively within a body in order to achieve self-recognition and illicit a client’s self-corrective reflexes. The tangible tools taught in this class can be used to assess movement, provide release, re-educate, or provide integration to the body in relationship to the whole. Learn to differentiate qualities of touch to connect with soft tissue, bones, and fluids and increase precision in working with the reflexes.

Some of the perks of online learning include: the benefit of reviewing techniques after class with access to the class recording, more clarity of anatomy with powerpoint presentations, added self care exercises, and opportunities for small group and partner work.

A live practice partner is required for 45-60 minutes of class about 2.5 hours after the start of class. There will be a 30 minute break around 2 hours into class. Live attendance is required. If there is an absence for unforeseen circumstances, students may receive credit if the homework assignment is completed within one week.

Prerequisites: No prerequisites, however if no Ortho-Bionomy courses have been taken, it may be helpful to take this 1.5 hr. recorded class: Foundations of Ortho-Bionomy class (listed on our class schedule)

Credit Issued: SOBI--16 units and NCBTMB--16 units
